Real Estate Terms
Please read and accept to continue.
These RenoSync Business Member Terms ("Terms") govern use of RenoSync by property management companies, real estate agents and brokerages, restoration companies that are looking for contractors, other approved businesses, and their project managers, agents, employees, and representatives ("Members," "you," or "your").
RenoSync is a contractor-matching and connection platform operated by RenoSync LLC ("RenoSync," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, joining a company account, or using RenoSync, you agree to these Terms and to the RenoSync Privacy Policy.
1. What RenoSync Does
RenoSync helps Members find contractors and request to work with them. RenoSync compiles contractor information from contractors and public sources and does not perform, supervise, or guarantee any work.
2. Connections
A connection request asks a contractor whether they are willing to work with you. Connections are personal to each Member: another Member of your company sends their own request. A contractor may approve, decline, or later revoke a connection at any time.
Once a contractor approves, their contact information is shared with you and your name, company, telephone number, and email address are shared with the contractor. You may contact them directly or send them work through RenoSync. Before approval, contractor contact information is not shared.
Contractors who have not yet claimed their RenoSync profile receive an invitation to claim it. They cannot receive work from you through RenoSync until they have claimed their profile and approved your request.
The contractors you save as favorites and the connections you make belong to your own profile. They stay with you if your profile is later merged into a company account.
2A. Work Orders
To find contractors you enter the property address, a description of the work, and, if you choose, photographs and a scope of work. RenoSync uses this information to identify the services needed and to show contractors who provide those services in that area. When you send a work order, RenoSync saves it and sends it to the contractors you select.
Before a contractor accepts your work order, RenoSync shows them only the city and state, the requested services, your description, and your notes. A contractor who has not yet approved working with you receives your connection request first. After a contractor accepts, RenoSync shows them the property address, any price you entered, your name, company, telephone number, and email address, any photographs, and the scope of work for the services they provide. Pricing in an uploaded estimate is never shared.
Contractors may accept, counter, or decline your work order, or ask to inspect the property first. RenoSync does not grant access to any property; if you allow an inspection, you arrange access directly and remain responsible for permission to enter the property.
Each contractor receives your work order separately and does not see which other contractors received it. Messages you send to contractors through RenoSync are sent to each contractor individually.
2B. Photographs and Documents Are Kept Only for a Limited Time
RenoSync is not a file storage service. Photographs and documents are deleted from RenoSync one (1) hour after a contractor accepts the related work order (or, if the contractor assigns it to an employee within that hour, one (1) hour after that employee first opens it), or twenty-four (24) hours after the work order was last sent if no contractor accepts. The work order remains in your account and shows that its files were removed. An uploaded estimate or scope of work file is not kept; only its line items, without pricing, are kept for the same limited time. Keep your own copies.
3. Your Responsibility to Verify Contractors
RenoSync does not verify contractor licensing, bonding, or insurance. You and your company are responsible for verifying each contractor's license, insurance, qualifications, and suitability before hiring them or sending them to a property.
Any agreement for work is between your company (or its client) and the contractor. RenoSync is not a party to that agreement.
4. Profiles, Verification, and Company Accounts
Each Member joins RenoSync with their own independent profile. To enroll you must provide your first and last name, your email address and telephone number, the name, license number, address, and telephone number of the company you work for, and your primary contact number. Real estate agents must also provide their own real estate license number and issuing state; each agent license may be registered to only one RenoSync account. You must provide accurate information and may only enroll on behalf of a company you work for.
Businesses outside property management, real estate, and restoration must also provide their industry and company website, and are reviewed by RenoSync before they can use the service. RenoSync may approve or decline any application and will tell the applicant its decision by email.
A company administrator may later register the company and invite Members to merge their profiles into the company account. A merge happens only if the Member accepts it. After a merge, the company administrator can see the Member's RenoSync activity, including the Member's requests, work orders, connections, and favorites. A Member who leaves a company keeps their own profile and history; the company keeps the work orders sent while the Member was part of it.
You sign in with a one-time code or link sent to your email address. Keep your email account secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
5. Use of Information
Contractor information you receive through RenoSync may only be used to consider and arrange work. It may not be sold, shared outside your company, or used for unrelated marketing.
Do not send RenoSync any information you are not permitted to share, including tenant or owner information beyond what is needed to describe the work.
6. Fees
Finding contractors and sending work orders is currently free for Members. RenoSync will give notice before introducing any fee. A company that chooses to receive leads enrolls separately as a contractor and is subject to the contractor terms and subscription.
7. Disclaimers and Limits
RenoSync is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, RenoSync is not liable for contractor work, conduct, pricing, delays, or disputes, or for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of RenoSync.
RenoSync may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
